.Bank FAQS

At American State Bank, your security comes first

You might've noticed - we've made the move to a ".bank" domain. It's not just a new web address; it's a smarter, safer way to protect you.
.bank is a secure domain specifically designed for verified banks, guaranteeing genuine communication through bank email addresses and website URLs. This change is all about enhancing security and customer trust and confidence.
It's all about keeping you safer online:

  • No more lookalike websites trying to pretend they're us.
  • Stronger website and email security.
  • A trusted, verified identity you can count on.
  • And most importantly, better protection for you.
With .bankyou get peace of mind knowing you're really connecting with your bank.

Before any bank can use a .bank domain, they have to be verified and approved by fTLD, the group in charge of managing .bank. They also have to go through the verification process every year. That means only real, legitimate banks can use  a .bank web address - hackers and scammers can't get one. So when you see asbt.bank, you can rest assured that you're in the right place.
We've made this small change to keep you safer online. Our email addresses and website will now be .bank instead of .com (don't worry - our .com will still work and redirect you if you forget).
What that means for you:
  • Double-check for the ".bank" before clicking on emails from us or signing in to our website. It's a simple way to make sure you're really hearing from us.
  • Update Bookmarks - Replace saved links with the new .bank domain.
